[KICKSTARTER] DeepWars - Blood Reef - Final day!

Antimatter Games have done it again, and are running a cool little project to fund some Nereids (merfolk) and an awesome shark for the game, along with a nice little campaign supplement.

That shark is awesome, so many uses.  It is sculpted by Bob Olley, and I like the base as much as the model itself. Would love to see him sculpt some actual 28mm scaled coral reef outcrop scenery...

Nereid sculpting so far:

It is just about 1 day in, and 3/4 of the funding goal have been pledged. I am really looking forward to one of the stretch goals though - sea goblins!

I really like the artwork on those sea goblins, in particular, and Antimatter has in general done a pretty good job of recreating the artwork in miniature form, so that's something to look forward to.  The mermaids are less my thing, but it's a cool setting and I have some minis for the game, so I wish them well on this campaign.

That cephalid sculpt further down the campaign page is pretty nice, too!

Yes, apparently they have Kev Adams lined up for the goblins, so I am sure they will be awesome! DeepWars is one of my favourite ranges, so I had to jump in on the KS, even if I don't have a huge use for the figures. They should be fun to paint though.  :D

The campaign has been chugging along nicely, well past funded and adding more and more stretch goals! Antimatter has added in some scenic items, such as a rotting whale carcass, underwater treasure markers, and a doom clam, which have currently been unlocked.

Almost at those goblins!

Some greens

Sea Goblin Warrior by Kev Adams. Another one with a spear coming soon and one with a net, stringer of fish and chum sack.

Dark Mariner Cephalid Ethermancer by Bob Olley. Summons ethereal beings to crush the sanity of the enemy.

Nice!  Both sculpts look great, really looking forward to the rest of the goblins.

Thought this could use an update...

Recently, Antimatter found a UK distributor which will make this project EU-friendly and avoid excess VAT charges for backers from Europe!

There have been a bunch of new models and terrain unlocked, including the wonderful shark-goblins!

Here is the second goblin

Some other stretch goals

The proto-spawn of yosoth should double as a nice monster for the lovecraftian fans among you...

Next stretch goal is the last of the Nereirds (so far as I can tell):

Almost there now, and then on to another goblin!

So, the last day kick has brought some new unlocks, namely the Dagathonan Reef Lord and the Siren Maneater:

The next few stretch goals:

I really hope we unlock the troll... the concept for it is so awesome!

Also, coming up are some more freebie stretch goals:

As of writing this, we are 2 backers away from 200, and just about $1800 away from $25k! Horray for free stuff!
