Very cool! I may have to get some of these. The light grey you've chosen works well -good stuff :)

I've been considering these for years. Thanks for the review.

Also, I think in your blog post you mentioned having obtained some other pieces from Tobsen. Mind if I ask waht those were, and how you liked them as well?

I say, they could use a wash, darling  lol

Lovely models. Tobsen77 makes really fun stuff.

Hi All!

Thanks for the comments and yes a burnt umber wash is in the pipeline, I always find weathering is a low priority just getting stuff ready for the tabletop takes up most of the time  :)

XCIV the other kits I picked were the Libelle and Dompfaff I'll post up my thoughts when I get to them...the single Dompfaff kit will be next cab off the rank.

Cheers

Most of the folk on TMP have suggested the gasbags need to be a lot larger. And, though I thought I'd appreciate them being some larger as well, I invoked the 'Major General Tremorden Rederring' defense.

Are they solid resin?

I opined a 'refit' with two halves of a cheap plastic egg and a tube, maybe just rolled thin polystyrene sheet, might do the deed.

I also admitted I'd never do half of what you've already accomplished, of course.

My basement, aside from the terrible pit that swallows old games and figs never to be seen again, is the pile of broken(incomplete) dreams(projects).

Hey Doug,

Thanks for defending the TOBSEN77 kit on TMP! The Major General is 'da man'!

Haha I've been 'Tangoed', I have tried to post a few things on TMP myself but tend not to in general it's all a bit too hard over there  :)

I like the kit as is, I know it is unrealistic but I bought it as it looks cool and these saved me a lot of scratch building. My second home built aeronautical machine isn't too far away now.

I still have four more TOBSEN77 aero kits to build I think I won't post them on TMP :) really if I could be bothered I'd post on the TMP Blimp post that we are talking science fiction here and also mention the new super lighter than air element that the Victorian scientists just discovered lol  lol  lol

Thanks Beast!

Well, that must count for something; I find his shotgun approach a bit tiresome, especially not bothering to see if there's a recent post of the same thing, but he does find some coolness not having been seen by others. Yours certainly worth the attention.  :D

Maybe a bit 'hard', but TMP goes in some directions I don't find here. And, hey, it's not Frothers.  lol
