Great idea.  Love the whales.  As to the placement of the rowers, I used those boats and rowers with in my FIW collection and you should have no trouble popping those guys off their seats and turning them around.  Might chip a little paint but that should be easy to fix.  Thanks for posting.  Richard

i have found the original article in our fanzine. Edited in May-june 1996 (the rules were older than this for a few years before).

Now you've one upped me, certainly, no Moby in my games!

The rules doesn't show the mvt grid for the underwater mvt for whales.
You need to built a grid with spots representing the 20cms segment from spot to spots.
you can track down each underwater whales with change of direction if any.
When the whale come out to the sea surface, place the whale model at the spot.

The GM has to be very careful to deal with severals whales and their tracking...
