Please, stay impartial and don't let your vote be influenced by false allegations.  ;)
So in all truth, it must be said that this is not my first ever painted mini.
(but thanks to the lost sheep who already voted for me me, your kindness will lose you...)

I still can't photograph white to save my life.

Maybe I'm being too subtle with the shading.

Maybe I'm being too subtle with the shading.

So can't I. I had to photoshop around a lot with my entry to receive at least something similar to the original colours. I assume that has to do something with artificial light. I used the "Histogram" menu to get my results (it's called that way in German, don't ask me about it's English name). This little utility gives you control over the displayed colour brightness. Usually you won't catch very bright and very dark tones, so you can adjust the very brightest displayed to be maximum brightness and the darkest to be black. A bit challenging for beginners it's a great tool to rescue photoes with a wrong lighting.

In this particular case I had to adjust the maximum and minimum sliders as usual and put the medium slider to position 1.5 (somewehere in the first third of the photographed spektrum)

I just took the pictures!  ;)

Anyway more votes! You can't let old Jonny Hunn beat that well loved traditional primative sci-fi alien in a corporate softdrink's company coloured robe!

:D
