I'm just about to start playing Blood Eagle, but since the core game mechanism is the same as IHMN I thought I'd enquire here.
Our first game will feature buildings. Although buildings are required for several scenarios, they are really only barely mentioned in the section on Terrain. So... I've decided that unlike some other skirmish rules such as SAGA, in Blood Eagle buildings can only be entered via doors (and windows if available) that are actually modelled onto the structure. It would be useful if some buildings could be broken into (eg wooden huts - requiring an armour value for specific sections of buildings perhaps?) or certain openings stoutly defended (eg a warrior stood behind a locked door). The terrain modifiers could be used for shooting at figures in buildings (and perhaps for figures in melee), but have folks playing IHMN adopted any common sense rules for entering/leaving buildings, breaking through doors/walls, defending doorways etc?
