Searching for some old Irregular Rules
« on: March 31, 2016, 09:37:01 AM »
Hi,

I was wondering if you Chaps could help me with a search? Recently I opened a box which had been in storage for years! I have moved house a number of times and had stored some Irregular Miniatures NW Frontier types at my sisters home, it was a surprise to find them.

The problem is that the rules I had with them are gone. The set seemed very much like DBA and I remember enjoying them immensely but I cannot even remember what they were called! I think they were just on a sheet or two of paper?

A search of the Irregular website has thrown up nothing (except a desire to buy more 15mm figures and paint them better!).

Does anyone remember this (or the other sets?) or what they were called? I don't feel that I can contact Irregular without even a name for them! I also had the Boxer Rebellion sheet.very good rules.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chaps.

I think if you contact them and describe the set the rules came with they will be able to tell you what they are called.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

The Irregular rules are still available:

http://irregularminiatures.co.uk/Misc/Rules.htm

Each period set was a small box with coloured cards (different colour for movement, combat, morale etc) a few die and a paper sheet outlining the troop types and stats applicable to the era.

Fun rules, quick to play and actually gave a much better game than rules 5 or 6 times the price.

Thanks Rob and River, I will ring them. I remember the box sets-I used the Napoleonic one for years but I think this was just a sheet or two. This has to be settled as its driving me mad, I will put on here what hey say.

By the way I totally agree the box sets and army deal was a great way to explore a new period.

Hi,

I emailed Ian Kay at Irregular miniatures who told me that the he has no more copies of the rule set in question  :'(

The rules were from a series called "The Colonial Age".

If anyone has a copy I would be willing to buy, copy, exchange a kidney?

Thans.
