Windows pre-shaded by airbrush.

Tinted green.

Are you mixing that lovely eggshell green with the Tamiya X-23 clear blue?

I think I'd like to file this all in my wee book!  ;D

Initial intent was to glaze the black/white highlight with the tamiya clear, but I messed it up, so I reverted to an airbrushed tint instead. The camouflage colours have a bluish tone so at the last minute I thought a green tint would be better than more blue.

Excellent reasoning. The contrast will suit them great. :D

I couldn't resist taking the mask off a couple of vehicles after I'd sprayed the rough camouflage.

Thanks guys..

:o painting 48 tyres black really is a soul destroying activity.

Anyway thats done, and all the details, vents etc are now blacked in.

:o :( :? Tried washing them with the same formula i used 8 years ago and it pooled and left horrible tide marks. I'm guessing paints and washes don't last for ever!! So, had to re-paint the ruined vehicle from black undercoat up.

Next step, blockign in details - vents and louvres, smoke dischargers, lights, weapons etc.

then... I need to design some decals like this..

Check my blog for the thinking on designs.

All camouflage work done. Most of the details complete or just blocked in black.

Still to do : Metal coat on the diamond plate, edge highlighting of all the panels (urgh! - I hate that bit!), winter weathering. Then there are decals to go on.

The picture shows the 8 year old paint job I am trying to match on the largest APC.

It's as if you have lights on inside the cabs! :-* What about trying OSL on the lights/beacons?

Thanks von lucky.

That's in my plans, but it will likely be a simple soft airbrush glow around each light.
