Some photos from the Star Wars Bolt Action game I ran
« on: April 04, 2016, 07:28:56 PM »
Hello everyone.  Here are some photos from the Star Wars Bolt Action game I ran this past weekend at MAGCON 8 near Houston Texas.  Mon Motha has been forced to abandon ship and take refuge in an old Droid base from the Clone Wars.  The Imperials want her.  The Rebels want her back.  The Hutt Mercenaries want to sell her to the highest bidder.

That looks like it was a LOT of fun!  Great scenario idea, great terrain.

Conversions were pretty easy.  Assault rifles were called blasters.  LMG's were Light repeating Blasters.  The Imperials were Regulars but body armor so they were 5+ to kill.  T-47's had two light laser cannons (light anti tank guns) could recce and always had to either advance or run.  Wookies were tough fighters and fanatic Veterans.  I had six players that had a blast.  At the end of the day it was a draw.  The unit trying to move Mon Motha off of the table was pinned and could not move.

That's awesome.
I may have to try something similar in the near future.
Thanks for the inspiration and posting the game pics!!

Very nice.  Looks like a great game and I might steal the idea of modifying the Bolt Action rules for some other themes.

Sorry for replying to such an old thread, but I'd like to know where do you get the miniatures?

Thank you

Hey look like the Wizards of the Coast minis?

I personally think the West End Games ones are far superior, but they command really solid money compared to the the plastics. If I was rich, I'd have a a massive amount of the WEG stuff.

But I'm not.  :'(

Useful link.
Many thanks.
Might look at this as a basis for Stargate.

Did you do a Star Wars sheet too?
