Bonjour,

Greetings from the centre of France.

I too was admiring the game and the wonderful figures and wondered who made them!

I found this link to a site which answers many  questions,

http://home.earthlink.net/~cyberkiwi/soldiers/maingal.html#Clive

I have seen some of the Redoubt Wellington in India figures "in the flesh" and they're nice sculpts but some are pretty big.

http://www.redoubtenterprises.com/shop/?page=shop/browse&category_id=adf310a883c5c374ede61b2f31019c47

Nevertheless, I can't resist the Mysorean rocketeers so will have to purchase some.

I am also a fan of the Foundry Mutiny Indian cavalry which have languished in my lead pile for far too long.

Cheers,

Paul

The best of the Foundry figures for this period are the Sikh Wars irregulars, really excellent portrayal of the armoured cavalry.

I was wondering if these Arabs would be any good for SYW Moguls- I know they are the wrong period and wrong region but they look similar to my eyes- what do you think?

They are from Footsore miniatures

They hired everyone Arabs -Persians- Afghans -They would work perfect. Would also be a Elite unit..as long as they are paid ..and would change sides for more money.

I used various Saracen types in with my Indians for a bit of variety (there was less choice when I started) Adding tall feathers to pointy helmets makes them more Indian looking to my eye, but there was a lot of variation in armour styles.

It looks like an excellent battle, wish I could have been there.  I enjoy the Redoubt "Wellington's India Battles" Range.  I know that they are huge, much as the Cobblestone British are out of scale as well, but they are excellent wargame figures and its too late for me to stop now. There is a heft to them that I enjoy and  the color of the units and the wide variety of troop types just makes the period a joy.  Besides, who can resist Elephants. It just isn't an India Battle without Elephants.
