28mm Viking figure help
« on: April 07, 2016, 06:31:27 AM »
Gents,
I realise there are many makers of fine Viking figures out there.
I have looked at  all the usual suspects Foundry, Gripping Beast, Warlord, Dixon, Old Glory, V&V Saxonminiatures etc
However I am sure last year I saw a new small range - maybe in Resin that had very dynamic attacking poses - the sort of break your shield wall types. In fact I thought the subset of those figures was called something like dynamic Vikings.
However despite my best efforts I cannot seem too find them
Any help appreciated
Cheers
TT

Thanks for the link Nurgle but no they are not the ones - these guys were thrusting chopping and running almost like fantasy figures not the normal poses at all

Thanks Comsquare I had not seen those before - they are not the ones but they are very similar in poses very dynamic
I could not work out what scale these are though?
Looks like 32mm?
Very nice sculpting though

I guess so.
Don't have any of them, but here's a comparison-pic:

You may also want to check Bronze Age minis, they have some nice Vikings as well:

Wow they are certainly nice figures dynamic like the ones I was looking for but 32mm I think this guy was new and did no other ranges
Don't think it was a kickstarter
Anyway they are the type of poses I am looking for
thanks again

You could check out Shieldwall Miniatures, you might have missed them as they are tucked away on the GB website. They have lots of dynamic poses and they are lovely minis:

Or possibly Saxon Miniatures

Thanks Saxonminis are my favourites so far - just looked at Crusader and Artizan but Saxon are front runners - maybe with a few GB thrown in
Must have been dreaming about the dynamic vikings

Both Hobby Bunker and VnV Miniatures are doing new multi-part resin Vikings. Why one would bother, as there are many many beautiful Vikings out there, I don't know, but each to his own! ;) They look pretty nice, but fiddly and breakable when you can buy an equally good solid piece of metal for less $$...
