wow! Those Otherworld minis are smashing!

It looks like you've used either furniture varnish and matt varnish on them or perhpas the new GW washes?

Really nice though and I'm definately getting some! I just can't come to terms with how to paint the orkoids. Brown is winning at the moment here too.

Not my work I'm afraid - as they are from the brush of DagenhamEast (the man's a genius). I know he uses Vallejo colours and Dullcote to finish.

I must admit I've never been a fan of the 'Snot\Goblin Green' for Orcs and Goblins, preferring a swarthier look of tans and greys.

I've been using the GW washes on some resin scenery (my preferred thing to paint) and been pleasantly surprised with the results. I've used their inks for years, but they can leave a shiny after affect. The new washes can be applied straight on (I'd advise loading the brush up) and when applied directly on top of the GW Foundation colours give some pretty good results. I'll post some pictures once I get a new camera (the kids dropped by Cybershot down the stairs and wrecked the lens mounting)...
