The martians are coming.
« on: April 10, 2016, 06:10:58 PM »
These are some Pegasus Hobbies 1/144 Martian war machines.
I've always loved the 1953 George Pal movie version and have 6 of these ready to go into action for an upcoming Sci-Fi/Cold war crossover game.

I bought a few of the 1/48 version, but they are so huge that having more than 1 on the table at a time would be a pain. I'll probably build at least one just to put on the shelf.
I've used HMPRO to build stats for them and they will be be a tough SOB to take on unless the Earth forces can gang up on them.  :D

This Marine Corps M-48 is about to say hello and welcome to Earth. He'll probably be saying good-bye and thanks for playing shortly after the hello.  :)

Proud member of that peculiar subspecies of humanity known as U.S. Marines.

Nice, a very useful kit.  Going to cut up some 3 liter soda bottles to represent their force fields?
