Some are fabulous, a couple look uncomfortable and the dismounted drummer appears to be all over the place – the camera angle may not be helping but as noted above his sticks should be aimed at the centre of the drum not the rim. Historical accuracy is one thing and good anatomy is another but both are important. The horse holder is excellent. I recognise at least two from the Haythornthwaite book – nice!

As somebody has mentioned – I'd like to see some painted up but never have.

I've been interested in the ECW for over 35 years and in that time I've seen swings in views as to what was really worn. I'd say we're coming full circle as afar as head gear is concerned.
