it really is unnecessary to single out figures in thread like this ... but ... the black orchid paint-job above is especially brilliant to my eyes I must say.

In preparation for the release of the new Marvel game I decided to try my hand at some comic style painting again. Rather than start from scratch I thought it would be better to convert already painting models as a way to gain insight between the styles and it was an interesting exercise in understanding form and contrast. I've posted the photos in order of painting so you can see the progression. Some came out better than others and I think I still need more work before I'm confident of getting a consistent result.

Lovely stuff as always.
For some reason the green arrow really stands out to me. Wonderfull how you managed to get so much interesting hues and still have it look the same green all over.

I'm ordering the Marvel game myself shortly and having a try at some superheroes as well. Never been much of a DC boy. Can't wait.
