Colin Betts has sent me a very good 3 axis of a BL 5.5" howitzer so I'll need a pair of them next.  Then at least  pair of Bedford QLDs.

Really should get some infantry at some point...

Bloody nice work, especially the Boarhounds. Not something I've ever seen in this scale.

Thanks, I like to make obscure things.

The guidelines for choosing a project are:
Rare (which usually equates to rubbish)
Must have seen some combat (Boarhounds combat is extremely limited but they were deployed and used in combat zones for convoy escorts and base patrolling)
No one makes a suitable model in my chosen scale. (I think the only other models are FOW)

My scales are either 1:48 for my Soviets and Finns or 1:56 for my Brits.  The switch of scales was because of model availability, plus I won a plastic 1:56 Sherman...

So next plan is probably the BL 5.5" to tow behind the Matadors, probably a pair.
The matadors will get seating in the back (like the arty tractors) and the 6x6 will get a tilt.

I've ordered some Reiver castings drivers and seated passengers too.

Then it's Bedford QLD.
Models are available but they look to be simple enough to make, the only curves are the roof and the back cab panel.

No doubt you are making a 5.5" gun because you enjoy the build. If you just want an appropriately sized one, there's the old Dinky diecast, which is a rather nice model.

I've noticed that but as you say build is the only option!

5.5" is definitely next (possibly 2 of them)
I've raided the bits box and I've got some bits of brass/plastic tube that will telescope nicely for the barrel (I don't bother with the taper!) which is always the hard part.

Trail and chassis are relatively straight forward flat plasticard.  I'll laser the chassis to get the curves and holes in the right place.
The laser cutter mushes the edges a bit (it melts rather than vaporizes) but it's very good for getting alignments and curves right.

Trail rivets will be the less impressive but massively easier embossed style.  I've not got the inclination to do a proper rivet job with Archer Fine Transfers.

Nice build with the Matador. Why not add the armoured command vehicle to it, as it uses the Matadors chassis?

It's on the list somewhere but the only thing it will have in common with the ones above is the wheels!
