North West Frontier 1930's 20mm Figures
« on: April 16, 2016, 08:30:51 AM »
Hello,

I'm looking for a good range of interwar British, Indian and Pathan figures in 20mm for the NW Frontier in the 1930's.

There's plenty available in 28mm but I'm looking at company level games, so 28mm is too expensive for me.

I know of the Tumbling Dice, IT and EW Miniatures range but was wondering if there are any others you could point me towards, especially for the Pathans.

Many thanks

Jim

PS Large 15mm / 18mm would also be OK

Newline Design have a 20mm colonial range, which may serve: http://newlinedesigns.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=410_412_478

i love the same period ..interwar NWF in 20mm..
In fact they are some choices:
plastic Red Box Pathans converted/armed with metal more modern weapons - Sgt Mess, MJ figures, Wee Frineds hae in their list some nice Lee Enfields/Lewis guns ecc...
some selected poses from plastic ESCI Muslim Warriors armed/converted as above

my favourite choice is, in any case, 20mm metal Raventhorpe miniatures ...among their ranges, in my opinion compatible with everything,  you can find niceties like RR Armoured Car, Vickers Light tank MK II, pathans from this specific period plus British and Indians with separate heads/weapons...their dismounted Sudan Camel Corps in turban and jersey are identical to the most characteristic unit in NWF for late period: the Frontier Scouts and similar well trained militia...also the wrongly designed Italian Colonial Dubat in baggy pants could well pass for a pathan

Look in ranges of figures for wars in Afghanistan 1979 onwards for figures armed with Lee Enfields. They might be suitable? I can do some pics if they'll be any help?
