Since Annie's probably slumped over a bar somewhere in London after Salute, I thought I'd share some of the new Shieldmaidens she sent me, newly released for Spring 2016.

...great looking figures....and whoever painted them definitely knew which end of a brush to pick up as well

I find them to be a bit taller than GB, Saxon and Foundrys Vikings.

I was going to say they seem about average to me, but I haven't actually put them up against any other models, that's just my impression.

I need to replace my bad and rushed ink jobs with Cubbin's lovely ones! I may do that tonight!

I much prefer how Cubbin attached the hand on the one with the sword up (Hervor), I was less imaginative and put it flat, which isn't half as good.

And yes insane good paintjob as always! And nicely timed, got them just as I was packing up for Salute, so they got brought along. Sold out on the day too! There may be a small wait with the restock as the casters are a bit overwhelmed (plus I erm, sold out of most things at Salute, so need a lot of casting!) but you can always put orders in and get to the front of the queue for when they are ready!

I love the bases the moss on the stones is a great idea and I may steal that if I can work out how its done?
