I think if they do a time war supplement, or boxes of daleks and timelord soldiers it could be awesome.
Otherwise i'm not sure how you could really do Dr who with the doctor without it being an RPG.

You really should look at the Doctor Who Miniatures Game. Plenty of scenarios & it's free.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Not really blown away by the miniatures, I saw them at Salute and they seemed a tad too big for my liking and the Doctor sculpt is way off for me.  The monsters look decent enough so I'm sure some will find their way into my collection.

The Judoon look a bit slim.

But the Zygon looks convincingly like a man in a rubber suit.
...

You got me there; may be that I just don't like the rubber suit look...  lol

Judoon look good for other uses, so, again, it's not about how 'bang on' they are.

Wilf certainly fills a gap, and I think Martha is better than her "not" version.  The 10th Doctor isn't as impressive. However I hope they move on with this.  There's plenty to do!

I see he mentions they are 33mm figs as well which could put them out of size with existing minis

I saw on their site that they´ll seem to release boxes of plastic Daleks and really nice Cybermen soon.
Also I bought the two sets of 10th and 12th Doctors yesterday. The miniatures perfectly match Hasslefree or Statuesque sculpts in size and proportions. The tallest stand 35mm (32mm eye-level), the females are all less tall, with the exception of Mme Vastra who is a Silurian on very high heels...The human females are just as tall as Foundry women, but less bulky compared to those or similar Copplestone or Pulp Figures. Although the poses are not so impressive they´re really nice sculpts and will make great additions to both gaming tables and display cabinets. These are my two cents...

There is considerable variation on claims about the size of these miniatures, ranging from something like 32mm to 38mm, so a reasonably good comparison photo would no doubt be appreciated. Of course it would be best to have some not-DW miniatures (c.f. Heresy) to compare with. I've yet to see one.

I've got a few of the monstery things - Silence, Juddoon and Zygons. Closer to 32 mm, but not easy to say as these are alien. Nice models - will try to find time to take a comparison pic, later this week.

There's more information about the game "Into the Vortex" here:
http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2016/11/warlord-games-241116110008.html

Looks like it makes heavy use of cards.

Upcoming figure releases are listed as:
  • Cyberman ten figure pewter set. This release, to mark the 50th Anniversary of The Cybermen, will feature 10 key designs from over the years.
  • The Ninth Doctor and Companions pewter set
  • The Eleventh Doctor and Companions pewter set
  • Voyage of the Damned Pewter set
  • The Dominators pewter set
  • The Vervoids pewter set
  • The Ogrons pewter set
  • Cybermen plastic boxed set
  • Daleks plastic boxed set

Only half decent comparison shots I've seen are here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/138178571446/permalink/10153755212286447/

Have to be quick, as that group is set to shut down very soon.

Don't mind a bit of Doctor Who on the telly but it's never struck me as a particularly good subject for miniature gaming.
I don't really play, but couldn't you use the Doctor's arrival and actions as a scripted part of a larger scenario involving "normal" combatants?  He has "plot armor" so nobody's allowed to attack him, but he has to be prevented from traversing the board, or an objective has to be secured so he can use it, etc.  The kind of things that would happen in an episode.

I'm so glad there're figures of Martha and Wilfred though.  Both great characters, often under-appreciated.

What I like most on having doctors&companions(&Tardis) on the board is that they will match every period´s figures I own... :D They´re time travellers, aren´t they?  ;)

Finally found  few minutes to take a pic - here they are.
Left to right:

Perry
Silence
Infinity
Juddoon
Foundry
Zygon
GW (the chaos marine is the same size as the classic space marines)

Note that the Dr Who figures are on flatter bases than most of the others (all except the Infinity model, in fact)

How big are the Warlord humans? That Silence looks like a basketball player.
