EDIT:
Looking again in better light, the jacket is actually dark green.
Sorry.
Move along nothing to see here....
According to my Osprey (never the most convincing of openings to a post...) in 1813 Canadian militia were all supposed to switch to a dark blue jacket and blue/grey trousers.
How widespread was this uniform in reality?
Pretty much every other reference has the militia either in standard British red coats, civilian clothing or (usually later in the war) green jackets.
I'm looking at Sharp Practice 2 and would like some Redcoats, some Canadians and some Native American skirmishers.
Ideally I'd like to differentiate between the redcoats and the Canadians (rather than just painting lots of red) and ideally I'd prefer to use the boxes of Perry plastics I already have (rather than buy specific militia figures with mixed clothing).
Any pointers gratefully received.
