VSF AAR - Charge of the Light Steam Brigade!

Hi All,

This is a game played much earlier this year but I've one just got around to writing up the AAR.

I think the title says it all, a full frontal charge down a narrow valley by Armoured Steam Wagons straight into an entrenched gun battery!

Had a bit of a start when I saw 'Leviathan'; uncharacteristically I bothered to look it up, and, behold, spelled the same in English and German!

" Germans Force (Bad, Nasty…)" Now see here! 

As I've pointed out in the past, being half British and half 'Hun', no good or bad.

"To win the British must destroy the German Foot battery and Exit a vehicle off the German table edge before turn 18"

I started to say 'Now wait a minute!', but, taking another look at the starting forces, quelled that. Still, I've a feeling it could have gone very much awry.

Hey All thanks for the encouragement!

Doug the British lost both the test games I played myself but on the day the lads were over to play the German sides dice rolling was in general appalling (I wasn't playing thank heaven!) but it was still close only 2 British Armoured Steam Wagons were still rolling when the battery was overrun and both were damaged.

I am half Russian and half Aussie and you should see what I say about the Tsar's boys in various Blog Posts veritable devils incarnate they are... my mum would roll in her grave, well she would if she was dead  ...aren't the Victorian British always the good guys (typed with tongue firmly in cheek)?

The game I have lined up next has two 'fleets' of steam powered armour clashing head on to secure an objective should be fun unless they all breakdown...Brits vs Ruskies...

Whereas I, who have no such heritage and merely took a year of Russian language and Slavic History in college, low these many decades ago, have the double eagle on the wall proudly!

Began VSF gaming in the Space 1889 world; not necessary for the tongue-in-cheek.
