Captain America: Iron Cross Help
« on: April 21, 2016, 04:14:23 PM »
Hi Guys

Looking to see if anyone has any good suggestions for Iron Cross from the Captain America computer game. I want to use him in some WW2 Captain America Pulp Alley games.

I've been looking for a good model to convert for that for some time!!!

Theres a few in the DUST tactics line, and maybe some parts from the Privateer Press's Warmachine.

Nothing I can find is perfect...hopefully someone will suggest some winners.

I'll be following this with interest.

Did you come up with any good proxies for other characters in the video game?

Cheers for the suggestions guys.

@supervike: I have been building a list of figures to use seen as i have the Capt, Bucky and DumDum for my project. Im going to use mostly Artizan figures as they have great figures i can use for the various different Howling Commandos and also Hydra Characters and their troops.

Having found this mech from Prodos. I think ill get it and use it to make up something like Iron Cross but in my own vision. Cover the head section and add extras like the shield etc.

That's close to perfect!  A few changes here and there, and this should turn out very nicely!!

I've been working on a project to represent The Invaders (the Captain America version, not the British TV show) in miniature, and that does include my own Howling Commando's group as well.  I have Cap, Bucky, Dum Dum, and Union Jack all done, but am doing multiple versions of many of these characters.

I've got some Incursion miniatures set to use as a few of the Hydra variants, but am on the lookout for more.

I really would like to follow your project, sounds very intriguing, and I'm always on the lookout for ideas to steal...er I mean, 'be inspired by'  Do you have a blog, or will you post here?

Oh, and here's my blog that I've been putting pics on so far...

@suprevike> great stuff on your blog.  i'm not really a supers gamer/modeler, i do love union jack which is what caught my interest.  i love what you did with the incursion model for the character.

@flags_of_war> sorry i didn't mean to sidetrack the thread.  i think that warzone model is super cool - good find.  looking forward to seeing how you make out with it and cap too.

Iron Cross really grew up since I last saw him  :o.  In the old Invaders series he was basically Iron Man with a pickelhaube!  The Prodos model you picked out should be perfect!  I'd really like to see it when you finish it too.

I don't know the character, but seeing your first post my immediate thought was "Battletech Loki".
Perhaps you can find one of those.  I vaguely recall some toys were make of that particular mech.
