Kickstarter. Goya Project. May 3
« on: April 29, 2016, 08:03:13 PM »
From the outset the project Goya was born from the enthusiasm of a group of people motivated by their love of history and work of Francisco de Goya y Lucientes. Also, as fans modeling and wargame, we had the need to launch this exciting project not only to perform a tribute to Francisco de Goya, also fascinated by the complexity of the events arising from the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, a stage that touched him live and report on their work, but also unite these concepts so different in a project: painting, history, modeling and wargame.
Painting as an expression of an image, projected the ideal of the painter, totally subjective to a fact at issue: the shooting; also it served only two physical dimensions and the third part of the same pictorial fact. The third dimension is an illusion created by the painter. In a box we can only see what the painter wants to teach us ... But we can rebel and think: What would happen if we could go around the picture? What if we change the point of view and can recreate what Goya did not want to teach ?. New technologies can help it ... recreate the image in three dimensions, turn to do what everyone at some point we thought to admire the play "The May 3 in Madrid" or "The Executions on Principe Pio hill "... to see the face of the firing squad that Goya did not want to teach us ... relegating it to mere mechanical and cold killing machine ... eliminating all traces of humanity ... Subsequently, in the same spirit to bring our interests to the end, we think ... And why not capture this idea physically? You can make a diorama? And this diorama miniatures? Will they be static intended to decorate a showcase? Could they be used to play using some of the regulations of the Napoleonic Wars? This is the exciting challenge of Goya Project. Represent 28mm miniatures (scale 1/56) the three-dimensional scene of the "Executions" liaising buffs Goya's painting, to the history of Spain, and do it with a quality able to satisfy modelers, and a versatile scale for many of the regulations wargame.
We hope this initiative will be well received.
Greetings!
Goya Project Team.

very lovely. I can think of a few great ways to curate this project as an exhibition.
