"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

There was no project really. The map was a creation of love for Burroughs' Pellucidar setting. I always thought it strange that folks would think that by replacing the land with seas, and the seas with land, you would get a good idea of what Pellucidar looked like. You would have to switch the map on a north/south vertical axis to make it more accurate... you are on the inside looking out... so to speak.

Although... miniature games set in that setting would be awesome!

Blast you, former user!!!  >:(

Now you got me thinking!!!  ;D o_o lol

ever seen this?

since we are at it, what would be Your estimate for the surface reduction of the interior due to the thickness of the crust?

actually, I always liked the hollow world concept ever since I read "Plutonia" by Obruchew in my childhood
what got me started is the possibility of gaming with all kinds of miniatures from 1850-1945 in an alternative timeline and with a steampunk twist.
one can use everything from cavemen to colonials, and there is a map

More land than water...oooh what interesting posibilities.  A realy dedicated conqueror could march around the world with no need for a powerful navy.  My, My how that would have changed a few events in our history.  What great alternate history this could lead to for a VSF or Pulp style campaign, a world where Caesar, Napoleon, and the like kept going and going, what fun for those who love what if settings.

well, my initial thought was to start the alternative timeline in 1850, which would prolong the exterior colonial exploration phase, so the interior conflicts could remain on a level similar to Africa around 1900, and thus delay the original timeline.
The steampunk technology would simply compete with the original one, but there would be little intervention in the interior world and the culrures there could have time to adapt.
say, steampunk Atlantis, lizardmen, parrotmen, whatever

no need to bend physics too much with aether travel to Mars and Venus etc.
