Weird War Tanks?
« on: April 27, 2016, 11:27:34 PM »
Where I could find some interesting small weird war tanks? Thanks.
I yet know the Dust tactics tanks but they are too huge, I'm looking for light/medium tanks or tankettes...

I could like to know if there are available walkers and other weird vehicles (I yet bought some time ago a Company B Valkyrie).

Honorable Lead Suit Boiler company has some interwar stuff that is pretty cool.  It's going backwards, but it has a nice look.

There's also a couple of similar vehicles in the Dystopian Legion's line.

For Mechs, AT43 Red Block Faction. A very post-WW2 soviet looking line.  If you can find them used, they're usually a pretty good deal, especially the small Kolossus hardsuits.  The other factions in the game are more sci-fi looking.

West Wind has a couple of British APCs that have a very WWI feel to them, even though they're meant to be Weird WWII APCs.

Yes I yet considered the british apcs, but they have not guns... meanwhile I remembered that are available the Warzone resurrection vehicles too, for example:

The imperial tankette and bauhaus walker...

If you could find one the AE:WW2 Tumbleweed was charming. A really cool "roller" with sponsons.  Googling will bring up some pics up and at least one listing for $35us.

Why not go with some early 50's real world light tanks (Walker Bulldog M-41, PT 76). If the war kept going on wouldn't those tanks be introduced earlier?

Nice idea who makes early 50's tanks?

I find the PT-76 in 1/48 and the m-41 (but it is really rare in that scale).

And  Combat Models has pt-76s in 1/55

Warlord's 1947 is due out soon, they will, no doubt, have a nice range of suitable vehicles.

Have you looked at the Tobsen77(DE) and Armorcast(USA)? I know it's done mostly as steam, and beloved by the VSF crowd, including moi, but there are some fairly clean things without large stacks.
