NWF for french novice
« on: April 26, 2016, 03:14:01 PM »
Hello Gentlemen,

Not knowing too the figures for the period NWF I wonder if the Artisan figurines (I painted a dozen figs) mix with miniature studio and empress.

Thank you in advance.

Artizan are a bit bigger than Empress, both in height and chunkiness, but not so much that it's a problem fielding distinct units of both side-by-side, at least IMHO.  Perry (who did not mention, but who make some excellent figures for the period) are in between the two -- very slightly smaller than Artizan and very slightly bigger than Empress, so fit in well with figures from both companies, again IMHO.  I have no experience with Studio Miniatures, hopefully someone else who does will stop by!

Here's a link to an old post on my blog with some figure comparison pics for the Second Afghan War, including some Empress figures:

...and here's another LINK to a LAF thread from last year on the same subject:

thank you for your reply.

I invest in miniature studio and I would say if it's good.
I follow your blog for months and I find it great.

if I manage to have time this week, I take my figurines pictures.

Sebastien.

I have NWF minis from most companies, both Indian army and Pathans. I happily mix mine as long as they are reasonably well sculpted.
