Worldwar: In the Balance. The race Miniatures sought.

Been reading Worldwar: In the Balance and was wondering has anyone made miniatures that could do for the alien invader the race? Would be hoping for 28mm scale, but any could do.

Not really like The Race but they are Lizards with guns I would take some pictures of my painted ones, but the painting is really awful

A while back I had consider doing something similar - big fan of Turtledove's In the Balance series.

Having looked around a fair bit I thought the best bet would be to convert some of GW's plastic skinks. Whilst not exactly what I had in mind, they aren't that far off and seem to fit height wise against some of the 28mm WWII figs I had at the time.

Sadly another project that failed to get off the ground but the suggestion might help at least?

This is weird. I've only tonigh downloaded this book on Audible for ideas.

I've wanted to do a post-Apoc/alien invasion ww2 project for ages, partly because there's so much good stuff for it out there, models wise (I want to do 15mm and use lots of plastic vehicles as ruined and burnt).

I don't think I'm going to do exactly this game, but I am drawing some good ideas from it.
