The Ancients of Kaled have arrived!
« on: May 04, 2016, 01:07:34 PM »
After fevered sessions of building, adapting and painting, COGS were able to field some new factions for Salute.

Most importantly, both the Ancients of Kaled and the Martians arrived...along with Texas Rangers and the League of Southern Gentlemen.

Some photos...

I love the ancient Kaleds. Scratch built or commercial ?  ???

The 'Kaleds' came from basic Lego Daleks that were on E Bay (not the official sleek ones released).

These are still on sale... I think the builder must have had a good take up.

I have been using Lego components to scratchbuild for some time and used some of the more esoteric pieces to a) round off the obvious Lego 'pimples' and b) make them more clunky. I was also able to create Sek and a Heavy weapons Kaled. I hope to create the D.A.V.R.O.S using a toy I found in the 'Works'.

Where I live there is a Lego shop in the local Meadowhall Shopping Centre at Sheffield and it is well worth a dive into as Lego components include levers, control panels, wheels and propellers amongst much else.

My only problem was not having enough time to do rivets!
