Who's running Pulp Alley at Drums Along the Rapids?
« on: May 07, 2016, 11:09:38 PM »
I saw the Preliminary Event Listing for Drums Along the Rapids, May 20-21, at Fort Meigs in Perrysburg, Ohio. Someone is running a Pulp Alley game there! GM is listed as Michael O'Brien.

Hey Michael...you here on LAF??

I'm running my French & Indian War event as usual, but would like tove to get back into the Pulp swing of things that weekend...!

Different scenario this time...ran a version of it at Pro or Con: Battlefields on March 12. Haven't posted an AAR of it yet and plan to get something up this week.

Actually at some point I'm planning on doing a French and Indian War Pulp Alley scenario!
I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying.

Always nice to meet another local member of the forum! I will try to get in your Saturday afternoon game...

I will definitely stop by to say Hi, though, if I don't...

By the way, to anyone interested: Drums Along the Rapids is put on by the Great Lakes Chapter of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society and is held on May 20-21 at the Fort Meigs Visitor Center,  29100 W River Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551. My Pulp Alley games will be Saturday at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, and will be five-player games using the Hidalgo Fire scenario. Each player has one Leader, one Sidekick, and two Followers. I will be using Dave and Mila's new Gear & Gadget Deck. I have the Horror Deck ordered, and if it comes in time I'll try to work that in!

Here is the event description:

Table 13 – The Search For Fragarach

(rules will be taught) Rumors circulate that renowned archaeologist Lady Elaine Darrow, after years of searching, has located an ancient Celtic artifact of enormous power. Your league of adventurers, plus others with differing agendas, is descending on the site of Lady Elaine’s dig to seize this treasure for your own purposes, nefarious or otherwise. Which among you will make off with one of antiquity’s most potent prizes? A Pulp Alley scenario for five players set in a Victorian Sci-Fi genre.

PRIZES SUPPLIED: Each player receives a special Pulp Alley game card supplied by the rule’s writer, Dave Phipps. Special prize awarded for the winner. Pulp Alley rules, 5 Players.  GM Michael O’Brien
