The Terran Trade Authority Setting
« on: May 07, 2016, 06:55:47 PM »
I am wondering if anyone in this groups remembers The Terran Trade Authority books by Stewart Cooley from the late 1970's and the rpg published by Morrigan Press which was cancelled.

I saw mentioned in Wikipedia that a The Terran Trade Authority Campaign Setting (by Jonathan M. Thompson & Jeff Lilly, with foreword by Stewart Cowley) (Planned 2016) is mentioned publication of said book?

Sure, I remember the series, and the rather disappointing Morrigan books.  Google shows several mentions of a 2016 relaunch (again) but after the last couple of attempts I wouldn't hold my breath waiting.  Be nice if it happens, though.

I remember the books from when I was a kid I loved them.
Didn't know they were a game though

Ditto on Gamer Mac's comments. A neighbor-kid had those beautiful books, and when he went away to college his mother let them go in a yard sale for about a buck each. And I didn't get them! (Curses)

Still have the books somewhere; I remember thinking 'stringing a bunch of sci-fi cover art seems really lazy.'  ::)

Still love them; funny how first impressions will let you down. I never heard an RPG was attempted. I'd rather have a space/interface game.

I found the Facebook group and I will ask that question if there is a new adaptation for an RPG setting

I still have both books. I was in high school when those came out and I loved them.
Back in the early '80's, I built an Avery Hornet fighter out of balsa wood using the pictures in the first TTA book.
The model is long gone, but my fondness for that design lives on.

Got the books.
Some nicely weird ships there, would make for an interesting small scale spaceship-based game.
I loved the Proxima Shark and Tarantula....
