Latest painting project, using some Reaper Bones models:

The cultists and their circle itself (sans the 60mm base it's glued to) are part of the same Bones pack, while the beastie is some unpronounceable thing from the licensed Numenera line.  Quite nice sculpts overall and very reasonably priced.  The metal version of the cultist set also comes with a trussed-up young lady as a sacrificial victim, which has been left out of the plastic version for some reason.  Political correctness, maybe?

I think I like the beastie better without the arms, which are mostly separate pieces (making it a rare assembly-required Bones model).

Thanks, all.  They were a lot of fun to paint, and Bones remains a joy to do minor conversions with.

Great Work!  :-*

Bones, you say, hmm... I probably should look into those for getting my Strange Aeons 2nd Ed. game up and running...

Absolutely should, there are lots of Mythos-appropriate minis in Bones.  Very cheap, but surprisingly good quality.  Takes some getting used to in terms of not worrying about how flexible thinner pieces are (they feel very toy-like) but the paint doesn't come off easily and the material is very easy to work with for conversions and reposing.
