On a major Bloodbowl Kick so played a few pre-League friendlies. The latest was against a brand new player who happened to be a professional rugby player.

It was jolly good, nadger-crushing fun.

"Oh my word, Bob look at the Rippers go; they're steamrollering into the Reivers like... Well, like a steamroller over a halfling garden party. Oh look at that - the Rippers are gathering around the fallen players and - I can't watch!"

"You don't have to watch, you can hear the screams from here. Definitely Soprano now as well, Jim."

Another great match which answers the question: what happens if you get a professional rugby player to play Bloodbowl? The answer is - carnage.

Last Friday

Our home brew rules, 10mm fantasy, Dark Elves (who look a bit like High Elves) vs Araby. A great battle which initially seemed to be favouring Araby, swung back to the Elves, and was rather to close to call by the end of the game.

Here showing mainly the left flank, the elves are advancing past the village, in some strange phalanx formation, with Araby forces swarming around them.

A bit of a stand off, as the Elves failed lots of command rolls, and got shot up a bit - spot the Hydra at the back, it finally got into the battle late on.

More 10mm from Friday night

A good scenario which had the farm at the top left as the objective, with both forces having to move towards it through some very rough terrain.

A shoot out at a remote diner between my Genestealer cult and Adam's Imperial Guard. We used the Clash on the Fringe rules by Nordic Weasel Games.

We've played a few games of CotF. It's great for scenario based stuff at around 20 or so figures. It's kind of like Rogue Trader was originally supposed to be but a much more modern ruleset.

With very little work you can get forces to feel the way you want them to.
