Saxon Thegns
« on: May 18, 2016, 08:42:49 PM »
After having completed a 4 point SAGA army, I decided I needed to add a couple of units so I could filed a 6 point army.

I had a box of Saxon Thegns from Wargames Factory sitting on the shelf, so decided they would make a good allied contingent.  While these models are not the same quality of the Gripping Beast models, they are much cheaper and will work well on the battlefield.

The box lets you build 32 plastic models and you have a variety of weapons to choose from:  spears, swords, axes, and bows.

I armed most of my troops with spears, but I did include a few axes and swords for good measure.

I think they look pretty good and I hope to use them in the near future.

More pictures and details can be seen on my blog.  http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.com/2016/05/reinforcements-for-saga.html

The winning player isn't always the better player.
