I really love the shading and painting on the wooden house.  Great detail there

Thank you. The paint scheme is not of my own composition, I went with a online tutorial I thought looked good. I am however considering brightening the green of the doors an making another light pass with a white highlight.

I got hold of some rejected miniatures a while ago, among them where these GW MESBG corsairs of Umbar. I have always found Umbar a very intriguing place of TA Midlde Earth so I wanted to explore this by painting the miniatures. I find the GW corsairs verging a bit to much on the Caribbean 17th century pirates, I firmly believe they should be more akin to those of the barbary coast which plagued the trades of the Mediterranean. With that in thought I did this:

Below is a Umbar "mood board", a very useful tool which a fill with a color pallet, simples sketches, patterns and designs. As you can see I did a tattoo sketch of a octopus with it's tentacles curling around the admirals face and head.

I would very much like to. A huge dromon with chained slave rowers.

Hammers what a splendiferous threat. The octohead looks quite menacing. Nicely done.
