I think I've said it before, but the statement still stands......your simple 'I'm just not making that much of an effort to paint', is the same as most people's 'I'm trying my f@#king hardest!' paint job!.........and I include myself in that bracket!

Can I ask? How long do you averagely spend painting a miniature like that?

2-3 hours. The basecoat is normally the longest part which is why I'm working on ways to reduce the need for fully opaque, neatly applied first colours. The rest goes by quickly. I use a limited palette, 3-4 army painter washes and a couple of highlight colours, and almost no mixing or blending. This way I can work on the entire model developing the shading and light simultaneously.

I found a little time over the holiday period to work on my own stuff and manged to finish two Astropolis dudes. I used a more relaxed painting style than usual because it's good to take a break sometime from being all precise and I think the style suits the character of these lovely little models.
