Thanks guys, Joey and Francis? Maybe, hadn’t thought of those 2, I’m doing Roberto, I could maybe do a whole Futurama robot crew, it’s an intriguing idea, I could do a crew with robots from all my favourite movies and TV shows, hmmm, need to give this some thought.

Hi guys

My 3D printer has sat quiet for about a year, I’ve done a lot of the printing I had wanted to do, and have piles of resin to paint, but I have always wanted to add nice “correct” mechs to my 15mm battletech project, so I powered her up, unfortunately I had stopped printing with a burnt out LCD, so my first print, a Raven failed, I’ll use that for a downed mech terrain piece, but my next 2 have turned out OK, a Jenner and locust.

So the plan is to do all my light mechs, then medium, heavy and assault, ultimately I’d like 1 of every type I can get an stl of, that will take years, so my first goal is to do the Jenner, Locust, raven, assassin, flea, Urbie, firestater, Panther, spider, commando and a Vulcan, then I’ll move to mediums, yes only inner sphere to start with.

Pictured with 6mm mechs and some 15mm infantry for scale, I increased the file by %300, because most of my 15mm stuff is actually 18mm.

I’ll be painting 3 groups, Kurita, Steiner and a merc company with individual paint schemes based on the MW5 hero mech schemes, when I get to clan mechs, jade falcon, if I can get 4 lights, mediums and heavies for each force I’d be pretty happy with that.

Hi guys

Calling this batch done, the first “test” mech for 1 of my merc companies, the Dune Bar Hussars, all 3D printed, I’ve decided not to print anymore in this scale, and have bought nearly the complete line of catalyst mechs, saving the printing for my 15mm Mech project.

Wow, great stuff.

I've just started looking at printing some BT stuff at 15mm just for painting (got too many 6/8mm for gaming already to switch) and there's so many files out there now!  Looking forward to seeing more :)

Excellent line work!  The warning placard on the back of the reactor is a good idea, and I am glad that someone is finally looking at occupational health and safety in BattleTech... we need more hazard stripes on mech feet!
If my wife asks, I only spent half as much as I wanted to...

 Hi guys

Calling this batch of 6mm mechs done for my Kurita force, will be adding to this force, but will play around with a few red/black/white/buff colour schemes for variety.

Received my first Iron Winds metal mechs today, bought 6 inner sphere mechs, picked them by looks mostly, my knowledge of BT mechs is mostly focused around the BT PC game and MW5, so apart from the Atlas I don’t know much about the others, I’ve got most of the plastic catalyst games mechs, these will expand the collection nicely.

Have also printed some more 15mm (1/100 scale) BT mechs, the last 4 I printed (the unbased ones) have had some really bad print lines, couldn’t work out why, but finally realised I had moved my printer to another table, which wasn’t stable, will see if moving it back will improve the next print, I’ll get the dremel out and sand down the print lines, then add any detail I sand off.

 Hi guys

Finished the first 3 6mm mechs for my 2nd mercenary company, this company is based on one of my MW5 merc companies with multi coloured mechs, some have hero mech colour schemes, I changed others, going for a jungle theme with the basing, the other merc company has the purple/sand colour scheme, hoping MW5 players may recognise a couple of the colour schemes in the company when it’s finished, if I’ve done them justice, the Battlemaster has a hero scheme, the thunderbolt and nightstar have my own schemes.

Very cool to have miniatures painted in the scheme of your virtual mechs!  8)

I'm more of an Unseen guy myself, but you've certainly made these models look good.
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Lovely work as usual, Gunner.
Nice idea also, you can see what they should look like before painting.
15mm ? that would make them 40 ? 50mm ? high.

Thanks for sharing

These mechs are 6mm, yes about 50mm, my 15mm mechs are 100mm+

100?  :o :o
I did not realise they are huge!! But considering the height of an Atlas, that would make sense.

I try to keep my mechs ( for 15mm & not BattleTech ) around 40 to 50 mm high.
