Re: 6mm Battlemaster, thunderbolt and nightstar finished

I have had a fledling BT project in 15mm in the works for years and I've specifically used as many references in the books as I could, to make the mechs the correct height.

This mean my Warhammer and Rifleman are approximately 10 meters tall and this turns into a neat 10cm at 1:100/15mm. they were the baseline and all other mechs have been scaled accordingly. An Atlas would be about 12cm and a WIP Wolverine is about 8 cm high.

Mind: this project is so old I still used very obscure Japanese plastic model kits for my (unseen) mechs and enlarged them where necessary. Nowadays with 3D printers, it's much, much easier to up- or downscale models... ::)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I知 a little lazier, most of my 15mm figs are actually 18mm, so I use 18mm as my standard, I just print 6mm mechs at 300%

Hi guys

Have added a shadow hawk and thunderbolt to my 15mm BT project, a fair few print lines in these prints, think I may have something lose in my z axis, decided to start work on the Shadow Hawk, I really liked that mech in the BT PC game (not so much in MW5) will be doing her as a Kurita ride, had to give it a bit of a sanding to lessen the print lines, and replace the antenna and auto cannon, which didn稚 print properly, and fixed some areas with green stuff, then sprayed black with a zenithal over sprayin grey, and a white dry brush

That's really cool!

I have had a soft spot for the Shadow Hawk ever since the first two instalments of the Gray Death trilogy (until the hero upgraded to a friggin' Marauder 8) ).

The Thunderbolt is a real cool mech too btw...

Nice work Gunner,
Those vertical lines are certainly not normal, especially considering the models are 100mm tall.
3D printing is indeed plug & pray. ???

Hi guys

More work done on my 15mm Shadow Hawk, 15mm crusty, and regular Battletech mech for scale, have added a pin wash and done a highlight, next some free hand details, more washes and highlights, chipping, a filter, then some oil paint streaking.

Looking mightily impressive, with the in-scale infantry miniature at its feet...  8)
