Last nights High Octane Game
« on: January 14, 2009, 11:37:19 AM »
Hi all, here are some picture form last nights game. I sadly forgot to bring my tripod, to all picture are just taken with the camera flat on the table. Next time I'll try to bring the tripod.

=======================================================================================================
First of Raz his Road Marshals and Pil his savages meet in a gang fight

Savages are getting into their vehicles

The Savages deploy for a tense gang fight

Command decisions are being taken in the back of the Jeep by Raz his leader (To ram or not to ram...?).

Savages race over piles of scrap, ignoring them with the intention to pick them up after the battle has been won.

Jag Panzer get's rammed by Raz his Jeep mounted leader. While Jag Panzer's driver goes down, the Jeep explodes in a spectacular fashion.

After the driver of Jag Panzer goes down the vehicle comes to an unplanned stop in the bushes.

Tracked vehicles just ignore difficult terain, but the bumpy ride causes some tension in the crew compartment. A chainsaw starts to make noise, but some threats with a flamer cool everything down nicely.

Here we come!!!

Here we see Pil's savages looking anticipating a ram

A furious Mellee starts in which both sides inflict heavy casualties on each other.

Unpainted lead win from painted lead...   it's defenitly a savage era!

Although Raz his road Marshals were starting to do some serious damage, he is forces did have to take bottle test and promtly left the battlefield.

========================================================================================
Probably Raz and Pil fogot to bring most of the scrap home or some of their vehicles left some. Whatever the case, not much later the forces of FM and Braxandur meet at nearly the same spot also performing a gang fight.

FM his forces arrive on the table

Savage bikers are advancing

While it looks like a patrol, these scavengers are not here to keep the peace, they just want to bring home everything that is not nailed down (and even some of things that are). These two drive nicely over the middle of the table before being gretted by a hail of fire (from a HMG)

Collisions a plenty. Both vehicles suffer minor damage but are still running without problems.

After the trike mounted HMG let loose on two of FM his trucks all hell breaks loose. Both Trucks swerve different side in an attempt to evade the stream of bullets.

FM his leader drives in a converted police car, but evidently the car hasn't been fitted with all neccesary parts yet. This is extremly clear at the moment that the windshield gets hit by the HMG, and it doens't stop a single bullet. The gang leader who is sitting behind the wheel is shredded to pieces and the vehicle spins around, landing in a the bushes.

The speargun armed truck, which gets hit by uzi fire swerves away and by performing an emergy stop barely manges to miss the police car. The gunner who was not wearing a safety belt get's launched out of the vehicle and lands just in front of the hood.

The rest of the battle I sadly forget to take adequate picture off, due to the fact that I was playing myself and was to focussed on that to think about taking pictures..  hopefully next time I'll do a better job.

The game ended with my forces failing their first bottle test after my trike got into a collision with a vehicle that was out of control... :(

FM his leader really died and in the aftermath two scavengers had a fight to see who would be the next one to lead them. The guy who won even manged to get another advance wich turned out ot be a leadership boost. I Guess he was destined to became the next leader.

Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Since the rules are our own mixture of rules from a number of GW product + some change it's hard to have plyed it unless you're a part of our group ;)

We did also look into Nuclear Renaissance, both since we had our own set of rules just put together, we didn't get to much testing of your rules yet...

Nice reports! And my plan worked! After René left the battlefield I collected all the loot I so carelessly neglected in the first place. I do admit things got pretty hot under my feet near the end though, especially after my warriors started getting a beating 8)

Where do I sign up?  ;)

Seriously, have you written down which rules you use for what, and noted down the alterations? I'm sure some of the guys in here would love to try it out - and you do not cross any copyrights by telling which rules are used  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

We have off course written everything down. We might still need to make a few changes before we are fully satisfied, but so far it's working nicely.

Basically we are using the Gorka Morka rules with cost modification (most vehicles for half the price since you will never fit so many on them as in Gorka Morka) the skill tables are a mix between Gorka Morka and Necromunda. The statlines for gangers from necromunda are used. There have also been some modification in the weapons (stats and names). We furthermore use the scenarios from ths Ash Wastes supplement.

We can probably put everything together in nice pdf (FM already put most together except for the scenarios and core rules). Since all of it is Specialist Games stuff we can probably let some people take a look at it ;)

I agree, the vehicles look great! Remind me of the cars from The Road Warrior!
