Looking for a Blacksmith miniature
« on: June 04, 2016, 08:14:46 AM »
I'm just building the Sarissa Blacksmiths and I would like some help finding a suitable miniature/s for it. So I need a 28mm Blacksmith, preferably with apron and hammer and maybe an anvil and some tools. Any ideas?

Just in case you don't want to buy the whole Foundry pack. There is a blacksmith figure available from Outpost Wargames Services:

I have those Foundry blacksmiths spare, if it's just the minis you're after ;)

Thanks, Malamute, I've ordered the Foundry set but that's a nice mini, I might get that as well, thanks.

Many thanks for the offer, Comsquare but I'd already ordered the set after the link from Steve63. Anyway, I wanted the anvil particularly as well, thanks anyway.  :)

I realise it's too late for you. But in case someone searches this thread in the future, Black Scorpion also do a nice blacksmith: https://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=185&osCsid=pobt3nbp8mcq73k9e51p7m7tg2

Thanks, admiraldick, that's a rather nice one. I'd like to buy that set anyway, I need a barman!

The Reaper bloke is quite popular too.

Oh yes, I do like that one. I may have to open another rival Blacksmiths shop if I buy that one!  :)

I'd recommend the Black Scorpion one, I just despise it being resin.  It's likely you'll see one pop up from Knuckleduster sooner or later.

If that's the case, I'll buy one straight away, I have several of their figurers to paint and they are superb miniatures! Do you think that would be in their large 28mm scale?

Since they're digital he can do them in both.  Note: I haven't heard word of this, but he's slowly doing a pretty comprehensive range including drunkards, ladyfolk and other non-combatants.  I'd imagine a Blacksmith would be in there somewhere.  Maybe not!

Thanks, Deedles. A completely different pose there which would be very useful.

That is good, I have a few from the Gunfighters Ball range which is the larger size and they are lovely miniatures.
