Upcoming releases from Musketeer
« on: January 17, 2009, 06:32:58 PM »
Here are a few of the new packs we have coming out in the next few weeks. There are more WIP's in the pipeline but Hazel said I can't put them up yet.  :(

First are the BUF Infantry and Command for the fictional 3rd ECW sculpted by Paul.

The very fine Battalion Command for the BEF from Paul. Love the RSM figure! Also a Lewis Gun Team.

Finally some additional packs for the WW1 Russians. Also coming out will be the sentries pack.

Cheers

Bill

BEF and BUf will certany be added to the shopping list, but that Russian general is simply superb.

Now, I'm not trying to stir the shit here, just musing aloud, but...

I wonder does the B.U.F. lightning bolt contravene Germany's "no fascist symbols" laws, or do they only refer specifically to Germany's own National Socialists and their insignia?

 ???

I love these figures by the way, especially the BEF and the Russkies.

Very nice figures. Very tempting to start some new themes.

I see that they have lots of conversion potentials, too!

Regarding the other issue raised by Plynkes, I think it is only the German National Socialist party emblems and the insignia of their "elite" units.
I doubt that the law makers even knew all facist emblems around the world!

Nice figures... The 3rd ECW thing is a completely new concept for me. Could the BUF miniatures be used for anything else as they are shown here?

To the legality issue, as far as I know only symbols of parties (present or past) or organisations that are deemed illegal within Germany are affected by this law. This law only affects German organisations or international organisations active within Germany.

EDIT: By the way... Austria also has such laws and they could be another thing all together.

There is apparently a specific link, but I can't show it here. Suffice to say checkout Wikipeda.

Helen Edit:
In addition, do NOT post links to such material, since German website owners can be held liable for that as well.

Back to you Peder.

The B.U.F symbol is not in the list as far as I can tell.

Okay guys, I've just removed a message and modified some messages. Suffice to say, please be mindful in posting such links.

I thought so.
But is it right to post such links?

No offence, but I cant help but grin at that remark.  :) If not you'd be in a sort of Catch 22 situation. The list has to be posted *somewhere* or how are you supposed to know which ones are no-no?
