10m German farmhouse - Complete!
« on: July 17, 2016, 06:24:44 PM »
The 10mm commission continues with a farmhouse this time. This will be a bit more of a wip as I've remembered to take some progress photos.

The base is 120mm square and I sketched out the basic plan on it. The squiggly thing will be a tree.

Then I drew and cut out the building walls on 1mm styrene (no lasers this time  ;D )

Then the walls were stuck together with braces in the corners and the roof was cut out from a 1:160 scale sheet of tiles. Ridge tiles and wall details were also stuck on. The compound walls have been roughed out and there will be a stable/small barn in the corner; style of which I have yet to decide.

More to follow soon  :)

cheers

Nice, how did you do the angled ends to the roof?

I tried this before, and couldn't work the angles out at all.

Trial and error normally but fortunately in this instance I got it right first time.

Some more progress on this one. I've changed the main wall for a fence as most of the pictures I've found seem to have it this way.

Thanks again chaps  :)

The stables have been built and the fence painted. Just the stables to paint and ground work/foliage so hopefully this should be done by the end of the day.

cheers
