7th Wisconsin (converted)
« on: July 17, 2016, 11:40:17 PM »
Finished my third unit for the Iron Brigade. I started converting them using Perry Miniatures Union infantry in frock coats, before the Forgotten and Glorious Iron Brigade figures were announced (so several years ago) I'm organizing a big Gettysburg day in October this year so I really need to finish these guys.

The hats are from the Redoubt Enterprises Hardee hats pack (had to cut away the heads wich was a risky business). so lots of chopping and converting. the officers are all plastics, so are most of the heads I used. The standard bearers and drummers are from the Confederate command in frock coats pack. also lots of conversions there.

c and c is welcome

Well, I'm not quite sure whether to question your sanity or applaud your efforts?  You certainly have a unique and beautifully done unit.  So, I guess I'll stick with well done!

Seriously nicely done.

Superb work!

Wouldn't it have been easier to use existing frock coat and Hardee hat minis like the Crusader ones?  Kudos for going the extra yard though.
