Yeah, I skipped the KS but later bought it on ebay for KS price with all the extras, quite pleased with it. Only got the CCC painted up so far, the pile of 150+ other figs is quite daunting. Fantastic work on these, they look great and I'm glad to hear the board game is good. I have not been impressed with the MERCS 1.0 rules and while I now have basically each complete faction I am not so keen on shelling out $60USD for a rulebook and $10 per faction card pack for a sight-unseen rules system. Got plenty for Rogue Stars, however :)

Ditto, although I hear that the 2.0 rules do actually have the model rules in the book this time (still cannot believe they left them out of the 1.0 rulebook - what a dumb thing to do!  o_o)

Anyway, I'll leave my comments on the matter there; I don't want to derail Vasa's thread any more!

Just finished assembling the last of the KS models - some have a real great sort of post apocalyptic vibe to them.

I bought about 25 figures from Nimrod some weeks ago and was quite happy with the models. Yes, the detail is a bit soft and they are restic...but they have loads of character and look quite nice in the end. Won't play the game, just cool additions to my Chrome Warriors game.

You certainly are polishing these guys!

I was pretty disappointed with the minis in the KS, some which did not even have a recognizable face, but you seem to be getting the best out of them regardless.

Many kudo's to you sir. Keep it up! 8)

I kept trying to like MERCS. I wanted to like MERCS, but the rules were fiddly, the card/movement mechanic awkward, the separate, mandatory stat cards, the change in the sculpting aesthetic all combined and conspired against my affection. A shame, as the whole 'corporate spec ops skirmish' ticks all my boxes. But after the Myth KS, the game and company seemed to fumble along and never quite took off.

At least I have my metal Kem Var and USCR to console me.

Thanks for nice words.

@Dirk: new project - a sort of. I have started it last year, and I would like to paint all the miniatures. Small teams and it still makes a lot of joy. There is a plan to make two smaller tables for the demo games. Maybe on Tactica next year ... ;)

I did also Keizai Waza and CCC and the pictures are soon to follow.

To avoid double post here is Keizai Waza. The minis could be better and above it the hard paintable orange. But on the end, it still looks ok. The next one will be CCC Team.

So the next "hard" color - yellow. The CCC team ("Yellow jackets") is now ready for action.

A good effort - I really like the glowing turquoise parts!

Also interesting for me, as the CCC were the first models I bought (way back when the only models that existed for MERCS was the five CCC models). I think their translation into boardgame plastic hasn't been as harsh as I though it would be.

Very nice brushwork on those. Those are the plastics, right? You make them look great.

Yes, plastic all the way. The next in the queue is the EIC team. I will try to make some AAR after a game with my kids. Stay tuned. ;)

Finally I did some pictures from the miniatures done couple of months ago. :)

Some "infected", used in one of the game mods.

Also not to forget Leon the professional. The other mini is an agent of the House 12.
