Interesting you say that- there really is only one other 'Tier One' direct action unit and I have it on pretty good authority (the Unit's former CSM who was responsible for all purchasing for both units) that they didn't use the cut-down M79 and that it was purely a SEAL thing.

I'd love you to direct me to some of these images of non DEVGRU personnel using it. I've just recently had a book on special operations small arms published so have a very keen professional interest in seeing them in non DEVGRU hands. You can contact me via PM if you prefer. Thanks.

Okay cool. Surprised that one man did the purchasing for both units...
I'll dig out the photos, but some of them our from my own 'well connected' friends! Im sure it likely is more of a SEAL thing, the contractors with them are ex ST6... but people tend to use what they think will get the job done.
There is less of 'this unit only uses this and that unit only uses that' any more.

I'll hit you up on PM  :)

Please do. I'm very intrigued. The CSM was responsible for oversight and signing off on all procurements for both the Army and Navy units- if you know these units you will know to whom I refer- it was his last posting after a very long and illustrious career.

Sorry to rehash this.

I got my order, and the figures are beautiful. Minimal cleanup is needed, and they're going to look good alongside my Empress models. My only issue is that one of the MENA models I got (Commander Alfa) had a snapped M4. Other than that, wonderful.
