Yep, she's been the dining table centerpiece ever since I finished the base.

Can I make a suggestion for the base? Particularly the support beams... maybe you could make them into large palm trees that the Blunderbuss is floating over?

I think to counterbalance the Americans, the Prussians will be getting a land ironclad.  I'm planning on using a toy boat as the basic hull. 

So far the best candidate measures 74.5 x 19 x 27 cm.   

Don't know where I'd store that and it will probably take me another couple years to construct.   

For now I'll just paint some figures...
