Space Knights - Kickstarter
« on: August 03, 2016, 09:58:01 AM »

After countless hours of hard work and even managing to hospitalise myself during their production the Space Knights Kickstarter has now been launched.

If you’d like to take a look (and why wouldn’t you?) just click the link.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1835446295/space-knights?ref=user_menu

I hope to see you amongst the pledgers!

Kind regards

Stu

I am very happy with the GDF and civilians I got from the last Kickstarter. Beaky Knights aren't my typical miniatures fare though. I would go for the £4 pledge if I could get the close combat knights as a package. This is only for feedback, as I know you must do what works best for you. In any event, best wishes with this Kickstarter.

These look like they will do very nicely, 40k15mm has been gaining popularity for a while now for one thing. I'm kind of surprised you don't have jet packs for the assault troops. Should be a pretty easy CAD and print job though if anybody is interested in them.  ::)

In any case good luck with them!

Thanks. And don't worry about the sculpting.

I'm glad someone is! Had a fair few people not overly happy with the size of the GDF. As for the Space Knights I may open up the close combat knights, specialists etc as a package later on. But would limit them to say 10 sets. We'll see.

Ah, Rocket propelled space knight? Truth be told I was running out of mould space. May well make some in the near future however I thought people might enjoy making their own as you point out.

They are a bit small to use with my other human figures, but so full of character, so I will be happy just to mix with Aliens for some games. I would have gone for a sniper set from the specialists if that tad been on offer. I may have to pick up a full set anyway in the autumn. Really hope this works out. The figures with swords would make nice essence wield ears for "Blasters & Bulkheads" or "Five Parsecs.."

I would happily pay £5 plus p&p for those five, (similarly for the aforementioned GDF snipers) although I would prefer heads to helmets. Peter Pig do some Tureg heads I have always fancied though if I needed to convert them... I Understand you have moulding issues though.

I think you might have shown me them before.

That's what we like to hear!

Sweet, thank you.

Take the next step. Get a one pound pledge and towards the end of the kickstarter increase it if you want to. What have you got to lose?

I tried posting this to Frothers, but it hasn't come up yet, soooo:

Have you considered adding an option to get all helmets of one type? For me the ones with snouts and visors (middle of the second row) are the only ones I'd want.

No... I'm afraid not. Well, not yet anyway. It's not that I think it's a bad idea but with only 24 people so far wanting modular figures and after receiving feedback I'm putting together several stretch goals for single piece and other types of space knights.

That's not to say down the line I won't put together a mould of differing helmet options in 15mm.

One tries.  :)
