AWI 10mm project
« on: 08 August 2016, 05:07:36 PM »
I've always been fascinated by the AWI, and earlier this year I bit the bullet and invested a lot into Pendrakens range.

This was my first Regiment of British, quite happy with them and they were a real pleasure to paint

I will update this thread as the project grows, if anyone is interested of course  :D wouldn't want to bore you rigid

Lovely! I did AWI in 20mm, but if I would have to start again, 10mm would be my choice!

Thanks fellas

Pijlie, I spent forever looking around at scales and ranges, Pendraken jumped out as being the best value with the most complete (as if there is ever a thing) range available in the smaller scale

Normally, 10mm's strength in its mass.  You make these look great on the individual base level, too! :o

Very nice work. What rules are you thinking of using?

Thanks again for the kind words chaps  :)

For rules I'm aiming at using British Grenadier, but the basing will also work well with an old set we use at the club called Rebellion in the colonies, written by Stuart Asquith.

Army lists I am using the two books from Old Glory

These books are a great resource for strengths, units at each battle etc, I decided to build my Regts at a 1:10 strength this way smaller units can be represented, especially those pesky colonial units.
