On the far right of the line the Argylls and surviving Reds essentially both run out of men and steam - the Argylls' Major Archie Houston decides the position is untenable and withdraws what's left of the company as darkness falls, leaving many a dead Red behind...

The Red commander also pushes back from the table ("85% casualties is probably enough for one day Tovarisch") and consolidates the village and Strongpoint Longbow, too weak to follow up the attack. Nonetheless the British pull back in good order having evacuated brigade HQ and having given the Reds a bloody nose. Using our very rough 1-10 figure ratio the British took about 200 casualties and the Reds 1600. Next week, the counterattack at Bilasuvar as the British push a cavalry brigade in to check the Red advance and the Reds keep on plodding forward!
