Edit:
I'm going to tweak the .45A rules to make him a Grade 3 Enforcer with fists that act as clubs at range 0.

You'll like the Prizefighter archetype in the new book (just a little over a month away). He is basically a Grade 3 Enforcer with some boxing Special Abilties like Haymaker and Sucker Punch.

I think we had this conversation before  :)

Yes, I may even get my hand on that book before my first game, if I keep painting at this tremendously slow speed

And Prizefighter seems MUCH more appropriate for a
'the Master's Champion'-type like Tonka  8)

Here's the next chapter of this ongoing tale of my efforts to get a pulp game staged....

Hasan Köse, Mob Boss/3 (Antiquarian, Smuggler, Arms Trader, Spy, Mob Boss, Camel Vendor, Slave Trader, Hired Gun... you name it) and his trusted companions (a Driver/1, Bruno/1, and Gat Man/1)...
Pulp Figures, Artizanx3

The German 'Archaeologists'... my apologies to the Prof for
stealing some painting ideas from his pics of the same bunch...
The fellow on the right was meant to be an albino....
I'm not sure, what do you think..?
All West Wind

And finally the 'good' guys once more... I REALLY have to hightlight the skin of those diggers....

They look great and I really like the albino. You didn't go too far toward white, but just enough to show him as very pale.

Awesome!

Thanks - I'm really a little proud of the face of Hasan Köse AKA 'The Unpleasant Mr. M'. One of my better results (also a very easy sculpt to paint, I must say - applause to Bob Murch!).

I'm reanimating this because I've reanimated the project.

Expect to see pics of the painted Brits, the rebased mummies, and a new 3x3 desert table with terrain very soon!

Thanks - all painted about 1½ year ago - broke my neck on the khaki uniforms of the Brits and had a painter's block for some months. I'm just about to arrange some terrain on the table to take a couple of pics - hope to get them up this evening  :D

Thanks for re-animating as I would have missed this otherwise. 8)

Great stuff, I like the albino to.

Here comes the table:

It's not the layout I'm going to use for the game, just a quick setup.

The temple/statue stuff in the NW corner is WIP. I need to finish basecoating the large piece and then drybrush both pieces with Foudry Base Sand Light.

And the Brits (a bit blurred, sorry - need to pick up on my lighting):

Fantastic. :o

Thanks, but not really. Just inspired by this place  ;)

The unfinished temple-thingy is an aquarium-deco, the statue (of Osiris, Horus, and Seth, btw.) is from a £1-store.

The ruined 3-piece large mastaba and the Anubis are pre-painted pieces I got from Conquest quite some time ago.

The houses are from Hovels.

The grass and palm trees are cake deco stuff from Pfeil and Holing.

My own effort:

Basing the vegetation on CDs, making the oasis (hardboard, 5mm foamcard´, and filler + GW water effect), making the hill/dune (hardboard, styropor (what a mess), - and, of course, sanding and painting the homemade stuff, and painting the buildings. And the table (10 mm chipboard).

The camel/dromedary is from Ebob, and the cobra is from a very old Citadel snake swarm blister.

And the Brits from Pulp Figures.

The reason for the different style in basing is, that native desert creatures/figs I'm quite sure will only be used on desert boards are desert-based, while figs I expect to use in different settings are based using my 'all-round' method (brown base, buff sand, some flock).

looking good,
how do you have the patience to go round £1 shops looking for scenery?!?  I walk through the door, get cut up by a mob of people, sigh and leave (saying that I did once get a £1 hobby knife with 12 blades and a cutting mat in one)

which paints did you use for the board?
Smile!  It's not that bad!
