Yes it's a translation error, every ruleset I've ever come across have had typo's of some kind (some quite major ones) and I'm sure it will be addressed in future print runs.

But I don't think it's that big a problem, as the rules have only just been released I'm sure that the guys from Studio Tomahawk are waiting to see if anything else crops up before publishing an official errata. 

A bigger table will just give you more jungle to explore!

We routinely play on 4x6 tables.  But we tend to have 3-5 players most games.
