The Portal: Colonial...New Guinea
« on: September 01, 2016, 10:59:54 AM »
Dear gents. Here is some more stuff for my big project: getting for all the boards of LAF something painted from my lead pile.

If you want to find out more about about the idea...have a look here.
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=92965.0

This time the time travalling takes us to the remote island of New Guinea.
The scenario will depict a small tribal warband of asaro mud men priobably not mentioned in any osprey... :D

And a little close up.

A pic of some typical mud men.
They a have very intristing myth why they cover their body with mud and wearing big ugly masks...

And here are my greenstuff conversions...

The basis are some Copplestone tupis and 2 Darkest Africa minis from Foundry.
In a second step I added some more belly....:)

Okay, and here are the mud chaps painted.

And anyone intrested in more information: here is a great site.

Cheers,
Don

They truly look great !

Bob Murch has a set of Mudmen mostly sculpted, but has never finished or released them.  Perhaps if enough people 'nudge' him he would do so.

Yours will be hard to surpass, however.
